U.S. 1808 Contract Flintlock Musket. Great looking U.S. 1808 contract flintlock musket. What makes this particularly stand out is the maker is unknown. This is one of the few unknown contract muskets that were made for the War of 1812! Metal has a smooth brown patina. Lock is marked with an Eagle facing towards the hammer crew. U.S. inside of an oval. Stock is in great condition. No cracks are noted. Barrel is stamped “PRC”. Barrel length is approximately 42¼”. Great War of 1812 era flintlock musket!
