United States Historical Society Jefferson Davis 1851 Navy .36 Cal, HAND ENGRAVED WITH PRESENTATION CASE, American Historical Foundation Jefferson Davis Commemorative 1851 Navy Revolver. This gun is a duplicate of the Colt 1851 Navy revolver presented by Sam Colt to Jefferson Davis, who went on to become the president of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. The gun is beautifully engraved and has an engraved and inscribed buttstock attached. The yoke of the stock has an inscription from Sam Colt to Mr. Davis, A beautiful and historical piece.
