Up for sale is an amazing Browning Shotgun. This superposed in this configuration (according to the Browning Superposed book by Ned Schwing) is the lowest produciton number factory pattern superposed EVER MADE! Pointer grade, 28ga, 26.5" barrels,and skeet chokes shows a number of 5 ever produced. This is even less than the field choked guns of which 21 were produced. Also double signed by A. Marechal! A factory letter confirming the configuration of this gun is on the way and will be included in the purchase. Also included in the purchase is (what I've been told) the original box but only a sliver of the end label remains.
CONDITION: The condition of this gun is nothing short of exceptional. Bluing rates almost perfect with only the slightest marks from the forearm moving for assembly. The rest of the metal is perfect. The wood condition is also quite exceptional with only 1 very light ding in the toe of the stock (there are no other imperfections to speak of). The checkering on the gun is SHARP, and I would gues it is in the 20-22 lines per inch range. In the last picture you can see the firing face of the receiver and it looks to have hardly been used if ever.
This is a survivor gun in factory original PRISTINE condition and truly the pinnacle of rarity for superposed shotguns. You will NOT be dissappointed in this one.
