Sale pending !!! #7716 A Francotte 375 H&H Magnum
Made for Mayor in Geneva in the 60’s on a FN action. 26” barrel with excellent bore and chamber, banded claw mount front base, banded rear sight island with 1 standing three folding blades. Banded sling swivel and banded front sight ramp with a Holland type folding hood. Blacking has some hunting scares and is in 85% original condition .
The action has a Recknagel trigger , a Recknagel 3 positions safety and a nice bottom metal with 75% coverage engraving.
The action is steel bedded in the stock.
Weight of the rifle is 9 Lbs. 12 Oz with the era 1.5 to 6 x 36 Hensoldt railed scope, 8 Lbs.9 Oz without.
The stock has the nice feel of Liege rifles with a slender grip fitted with a trap door grip cap, pancake cheeckpiece , water buffalo horn forend tip.
LOP is 14 3/8” over a ¾” red pad.
Stock finish is in 85% Original condition with some hunting marks, checkering is in 90% original condition with a few damaged diamonds.
