All iron parts are blue/brown in color. No serious pitting on the gun. Breech block marked "U.S./Model/1873". Lock mechanics excellent. Lock marked "Eagle and U.S. Springfield". Correct carbine rear sight marked with a "C" for carbine. Very nice original walnut stock, unsanded, with cartouches. Rifled bore is great. Saddle bar and ring present.
