Wilson Combat Custom built Colt LW Commander Model.
An early Bill Wilson gun (1985). Built when this small shop in Arkansas (I believe there were only three people working in the shop besides Bill at this time) turned out the best defense and competition 45's in the world. There is no way to know for sure if Bill himself worked on this pistol, but he did much of the custom work himself in the early days.This gun was purchased for my collection over 20 years ago.Pistol is in "As New" condition, being test fired only. The work on this gun, especially the barrel fitting is unmatched in quality. Features include Bo-Mar low mount adjustable sights, Rear of Slide serrated to match the sight leaf. Fitted slide and frame. Hand select Colt barrel fitted to slide and target bushing installed Trigger job with National Match trigger, polished feed ramp and throat. Ejection port flared back, extractor polished and adjusted. Narrow combat thumb safety, Checkered Mainspring housing, Wilson Spring Kit, Custom Grips. The hand workmanship on this pistol cannot be duplicated today.
