Description:
1965 vintage Remington 600 Magnum. The 600 was a radical design when introduced in 1965. It featured an 18-1/2" free floated barrel, beech and walnut laminated monte carlo stock, and nylon ventilated rib and trigger guard. Chambered for the potent .350 Remington Magnum cartridge, and weighing in at 6-1/2 pounds, this made for a handy light weight brush gun. The 350 Remington Magnum was the original short action magnum and has developed a cult following. This rifle is in original condition with a nice period Redfield 4X scope, base and rings. The sling swivels and recoil pad are factory. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, and all other mechanics are in perfect working order. The nylon rib is in excellent condition showing no cracks or warpage. The trigger guard is warped slightly (which is very common on these) as can be seen in the last photo. This rifle would make an excellent choice for hunting in big woods or bear country. A scarce Remington model in a desirable caliber.
