Outstanding Pre 70 series Colt 1911 Gold Cup NM .45 ACP caliber automatic pistol with original box, test target, and paperwork. S/N 21***-NM Mfg. 1967. 5" barrel. Correct Elliason rear sight. Mechanics and bore like new.
This pistol, box, and papers are 100% original in all regards. 98-99% Blue with very slight wear marks to sides of the slide and a faint takedown mark. Grips are like new.
Among the highest quality 1911 styles ever produced, these pistols feature multiple refinements and are of superb quality. They were specifically designed to be taken directly from the box and win the matches of the day...which they did. They are extremely accurate, beautifully balanced, and still among the very best handguns ever created!
