Description:
The No 4 Mk I was the workhorse of the British Empire, and this classic example is in excellent overall condition with a perfect bore and chamber. I am not an expert on Enfields but this rifle is all original & matching, and has more stamps and proofs imagineable over it's excellent condition exterior. The rifle does bear an old IAC import marking (Interarms in Alexandria Va) which is quite common, as Sam Cummings, the president of Interarms, bought most of the surplus Enfield .303 Rifles from the British Gov't. many years ago, eventually importing most of them after 1968 and so they had to be import marked. Don't we wish this rifle could talk - can't imagine the tales it could tell!
