Description:
Ithaca Crass Quality 6 serial #39506 made in 1900. 12 gauge gun with 30” Crown Steel barrels choked full and full by my drop in gauge. LOP is 14 1/2” to a Jostam pad. DAC is 1 1/2’; DAH is 2 1/4”. Ivory front bead and small ivory mid bead. Single trigger with full pistol grip and fluted grip cap. Beautiful highly figured walnut butt stock and forend in excellent condition with very fine Grade 6 checkering. Gold shield inlay on butt stock. The frame is very highly engraved with extensive scroll engraving, a dog and a pair of partridges on each side, birds on the floor plate and a running deer on the trigger guard. Engraving is attributed to Ed Laythem. The only Ithaca Crass Quality 6 that I have ever encountered.
