This was Colt's finest production target 1911 model. They came with match grade barrels, adjustable sights, and adjustable target style triggers. All of the parts were hand fit to make the tightest pistol possible with a super smooth action which would perform well in competitive target shooting. These pre "70 Series" Gold Cups are considered by many to be the most desirable of the Gold Cup National Match pistols that Colt produced. The factory letter also states a flat mainspring housing as a special feature and was part of only a 6 gun shipment. This Colt would be an excellent investment as well as a fun and accurate .45 to take to the range. The Factory Archive letter is included in the sale. This qualifies as a C&R.
