Description:
Very scarce and hard to find is this original one piece wood gripped, short barrel, .45cal. with a factory nickel finish! Any short barrel, (4 3/4") black powder Colt SAA with the one piece wood grip is very hard to find. Factory nickel finish is even more scarce. This gun is all original, no cleaning, no polishing, and never monkeyed with. Excellent and tight mechanics, all 4 clicks, nice original screws with faded blue still present on most, all factory markings are very nice and clear. The bore is very good to excellent. This rare gun also has an "overrun" D.F.C. marked cylinder in it, fairly uncommom, but were used on civilian guns from about 1884-1886, (See "A Study of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver" by Graham, Kopec, and Moore, pg.51). Comes with it's original holster that has been with the gun forever, and factory archive letter. See my other nice, original SAA's I have listed, out of a private collection.
