Inland Division of General Motors M1 Carbine semi-auto rifle in .30 Carbine. Barrel made by Underwood marked 3-44 along with the flaming bomb ordnance stamp. Receiver is Inland sn: 6439XXX so likely made oct/nov of 1944. My research shows this may have been originally built this way as clean-up of Underwood's barrels. The stock is likely from an arsenal rebuild and has the crossed cannons on the stock and IO stamped in the sling channel, making it an Inland stock. Sling looks period correct if not original. Adjustable rear sight and the action has the round-bolt.
This should make a great shooter but we haven't fired it. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. If we missed something or need better pics please let us know.
