The barrels were mostly made of Bernard steel but some were made with Damascus until some years later when Acme steel was offered. The stock is Circassian walnut and had more figure than that used on the Grade 3. The stocks were fitted with a skeleton butt plate as standard. The checkering is fine and deep, at about twenty-four lines to the inch. There were only about 1,700 CH Grade hammerless Parkers produced.
