Description:
Remington model 742 carbine in .30-06 caliber with 18" carbine-length barrel in excellent overall condition. This rifle has been fully customized with very nicely done engraving over the entire action and extending onto the barrel. It includes one engraved magazine. The animals are gold inlaid, including two bull elk on the left side of the action and two whitetail bucks on the right side. The engraving is bordered in gold wire. All of the engraving is very well executed; see photos. The figured custom stock is in excellent condition, made from dark colored walnut, with fancy scroll checkering, and finished with a Pachmayr recoil pad and sling swivels. The rifle is scoped with a compact Leupold 2-7 power scope in engraved rings. Mechanical condition is excellent. Overall, a very nice and well-executed custom Remington, that would make a high-class brush/woods rifle.
