This S & W Chiefs Special Classic (.38 Cal Chiefs Special) is an iconic firearm and has proven to be a lasting reliable handgun from it's inception to present. It has the quality of workmanship that earned it's reputation as the number one "Cops Gun" in North America w/over one million being produced. It ceased production in the eighties but thanks to it's S & W reputation lives on and continues to serve those who own one.
This S & W Chiefs Classic is one of those that is available. It has a about 90-95% bluing w/some very light barrel edge wear and light cylinder ring. The frame has some faint handling marks but remains bright and with consistant bluing throughout. It has a set of high quality Packmayr Grips and an extra set of original type Wood Grips that come with it. The S & W correct type box (Non-Matching) and paperwork comes with it also. The action is tight and the barrel is shiney w/a nice bore and twist. It would be a candidate for both a shooter and
collector.
