Description:
This Remington 1875 was formerly of the Gordon Matson collectio of Indian Police Remington's. This Remingrton has a marking on the left grip that signifies some sort of Indian marking. The right side Frame has a scratch inscription "Fool Bear". This Remington shows heavy use like one would hope to see on a true Indian gun. The marking on the left grip is absolutely authentic and to the period. This Remington comes with a handwritten document from notable dealer and friend of mine, John R. Gangel of Little Johns Antique Arms and Sevice. The nickel finish is worn and shows good honest use. Caliber .44. Mechanically the action works very well. A very interesting Remington Revolver!
