This rifle is in very good to excellent condition overall. The metal and its finish are in very good shape over all. However the finish on the floor plate does have some minor handling marks and there is some marring to the finish on the receiver by the bolt handle. Furniture is in excellent shape with barely-if any-evidence of use and handling. The bore is in excellent condition with healthy shine and well defined lands/grooves.Whether you're in glaring heat or bone-chilling cold, the Model 70 Extreme Weather Stainless Steel Bolt-Action Rifles provide pinpoint accuracy round after round. Their free-floating, fluted stainless steel barrels shoot with 1-MOA accuracy. Bell and Carlson™ composite stock with one-piece aluminum bedding block is trim, lightweight and ergonomic, and it's reliable in temperatures from -50°F to 140°F. Sculpted cheek piece ensures proper eye-to-scope alignment. Pachmayr® Decelerator® pad lessens the recoil felt when shooting magnum cartridges. Pre'-64-type claw extractor with controlled round feed removes cartridges easily and consistently. Cartridge-feed lips are machined as a part of the receiver for the proper feed every time. Three-position safety has a middle position between fire and safe that locks the firing pin, yet allows the bolt to be operated for added safety when checking the chamber or unloading. MOA trigger system. Comes with two stainless steel sling swivel studs installed.
