Description:
Caliber 40-50 Sharps Straight. 26 inch barrel, Winchester style Swiss buttplate and hard rubber grip cap. The bbl wears the correct Bridgeport address along with "Old Reliable" marking and "W.R.A. Co.". Sights include a globe front sight, an interesting 3-leaf folding rear sight and folding tang sight. Bbl retains most original blue. Bore is exceptional. Bright and shiny. Frame is a dulled nickel of the period finish with gutta percha side panels. Buttstock is a highly figured black walnut and in VG condition. Forearm is a very dark color and most likely is of walnut also. Whether this was customized by Winchester or a composite rifle is anyone's guess. There is no way to know the answer but it certainly turned out to be one beautiful specimen!
