Description:
Fabulous early 70 in the wicked fast .220 Swift caliber. S/N 8*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1937! The barrel is 26" carbon steel with lustrous rust bluing and a mirror bore/throat. Mechanics are naturally like new. Overall condition is outstanding showing 98% Blue and Varnish with a few light marks in wood and more wear to the trigger guard, typical for this vintage. There is a factory installed Lyman 48WJS with matching number components and target knobs. The barrel dovetail is filled with a dressed Lyman 12S plug. The receiver sports the coveted polished carbonum blue that we all love. The differences are subtle, but to those who know...with consideration given to fit, finish, quality of workmanship and components, these early 70s are in a class all their own. This one is superb in a less encountered caliber and would be extremely difficult to improve upon.
