A very good plus Remington first model double deringer. Hinges are perfect, grips are rosewood. Nickel finish. Caliber is .41. Markings on the metal between the barrels: "Elliot's Patent Dec. 12, 1868". As is typical with first models, there is no ejector. Bores are fair. Mechnically tight. Other side says: " manufactured by E. Remington and Sons, Illion, NY".
