Description:
Manufactured in 1931, this pistol is in near perfect condition. The only loss of bluing is on the last 1/8 inch of the left side of the slide from a few trips into the holster. (Some of the shine in the photos is from glare, not loss of bluing) The bore is bright and sharp. Essentially no scratches, the walnut grips are crisp and like new, no wear on the slide lock, no wear on the slide, no wear on the hammer, near zero to zero wear on moving parts. The only defects from 100% pristine are small and not readily seen, they would detract less than 1% from the pistol. On the left trigger guard there is a VP stamp and the number 8 above it, on the right trigger guard is the number 60. The number is present on the slide and matches. The original commercial two tone magazine is in near new condition. The action works very nice and is tight. This Colt is a high quality condition collectors grade pistol for the Colt collector! These early civillian model 1911's are highly sought for. To find one of these early Colts in this original condition is a real find for the collector!
