Description:
General Specs: Browning, Year 1974, 12 Gauge, 8lbs 5oz, Chokes M/F, LOP 14 1/4", DAH 1 5/8", DAC 1 3/8"
Serial Number: 34806S74

The Browning Superposed is one of the finest over/under shotguns in history and one of John Browning’s most brilliant designs.  Produced in plain-jane field grades to the most elaborately engraved and finely stocked shotguns ever seen, production of the Browning Superposed was done in Belgium, running strong from 1931 through 1977 when traditional production stopped.  This fine Superposed, sn34806 S74, made after the “salt years” in 1974, is a grand example of a high-grade Browning Diana Grade, with extraordinary wood, long tang trigger guard, incredible hand cut, deep-carved engraving with deep-relief game scenes, shaded backgrounds, and wonderful bank-note style scroll signed by Rene DeWils, still with the original box and paperwork.  Better yet, the gun retains 99.5% factory original condition with only a few light handling marks in the wood, still retaining the factory original butt pad that came on all LIGHTNING TRAP GUNS.  Keep in mind this is not the “Broadway Trap” with the wide rib that some seem not to like so much, but the Lightning Model that is a bit lighter in weight at 8 1/4lbs..  THIS IS AN INVESTMENT QUALITY GUN THAT WILL INCREASE IN VALUE AS YOU ENJOY ITS USE.  Don’t miss this great opportunity to own a very special Over/Under.  Thanks for looking!
