Description:
Walther Model PPK pistol with "W" behind the serial number instead of the usual "K". On page 68 of WALTHER MODELS PP AND PPK, 1929-1945, James Rankin discusses the "W" suffix pistols and notes there is no indication what the "W" indicates. The pistol has the standard Walther commercial blue finish, brown plastic wrap-around grips with checkered panels and Walther Banner at the top. The serial number is located on the right side of the frame. The left side of the slide has the standard markings. The pre-war, commercial "crown/N" proofmark is stamped on the right side of the slide below the ejection port and on the right side of the barrel chamber and muzzle. Aside from the "W" suffix, the pistol finish and markings are identical to "K" suffix Mod. PPK pistols.The pistol is in very good condition with some minor edge wear.
