French Model 1822, .69 caliber round barrel 7 3/4 inches long, overall length is 13 3/4 inches, octagonal at the breach, serial number 1302, tang marked "Mle 1822 T Bis", breach marked "C de 17.6AN", converted from flintlock to percussion in 1854, lockplate marked "Mre. Imp ale de Mutzig", marked Mutzig on walnut stock, checkered hammer, fixed front and rear sights, arsenal proofs on brass, iron and wood throughout, complete with iron tulip end ramrod, lanyard ring, two stage action is in good working order.
