Pair of Rigby Dublin Great Coat or Overcoat matching flintlock pistols.
.50 Bore, Circa 1790 - with 10cm hexagonal sighted barrel with two lines at the breach and engraved 'DUBLIN' on the top sighting flat, engraved tang with finial and standing notch rear sight, border line engraved lockplate signed 'RIGBY'', all screws are engraved, figured walnut full-stock with cane style handle, engraved broad trigger guard with finial, engraved graceful swan neck cock, madallions on back of stock have an R and possibly another letter engraved. Actions functioning correctly with half and full-cock and good spring pressure, the woodwork good with dark patina and without visible defects, some wear to the metal parts commensurate with age and use.
This is a remarkable pair of matching Rigby pistols.
