Sale Pending. Nice example of an ornately engraved miniature Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver. It has loads of detail with a completely working action, rifled bore, tiny caliber marking on the trigger guard down to the 1843 Naval Engagement Date on the cylinder scene and even little safety pins on the back of the cylinder. The finish is blued barrel and cylinder while the loading lever, trigger and frame are color case hardened. The brass straps are gold plated and there are even gold trim inlays on the front and rear of the barrel. The grips are pearl. Engraving is all over the barrel, frame and backstrap. Serial number is 138. It is not marked as to maker but if I had to guess, I would say its Uberti who made these for Colt, the US Historical Society, and sold them as Uberti as well. A high quality, well thought out and highly detailed miniature replica. This would make an fantastic Christmas or Birthday Present for someone special!
