Description:
Holland & Holland, 13 Bruton Street London, Northwood Deluxe 20 gauge with 26" dovetail lump ejector barrels with a smooth concave game rib and a small silver front bead. London proofed in 1976 at 3 1/4 Tons and 2 3/4" chambers. Bores are as new measuring .617 on the right and .623 on the left. Choked .006 [IC] right and .013 [light Mod] left. Scalloped back reciever retains traces of case color with 70% coverage of English scroll engraving. Double triggers. Stocked in a highly figured piece of English Walnut with excellent color and contrast. Stock drop points and a vacant stock oval. LOP is 14 3/4" to a very nice leather covered pad. Neutral cast. DAC-1 1/2" DAH-2 1/4" Weighs in at a sveldt 5lb 11oz. This is a very nice piece that shows use but no abuse. It remains mechanically sound and smack on face. Buttstock and forend are solid and without repairs. It has never been refreshed. Barrel blue remains at 97%. Floorplate and trigger guard blue at 60% Stock finish at 90% with scattered mild dents and dings. This is a solid piece from a top tier London maker built on a Webley & Scott action after this iconic firm was purchased by Holland & Holland. It has a "carry all day" game gun weight with perfect balance and dimmensions for upland game.
