Description:
NOTE:  The above title of this description should indicate K38 Target Master piece as listed below in the first paragraph.  This is how the gun is listed in S.P. Fjestad's Blue Book of Gun Values, 40th Anniversity Edition, page 1883.

Smith & Wesson Model 14-3, (K38 Target Masterpiece), .38 Special, double-action revolver, with a 6-inch barrel, original wood stocks, service trigger (0.265 inch wide) with grooved face, semi-target hammer (0.375 inch wide) with checkered spur, open adjustable rear sight, and a bright blue finish.  The revolver has a three-screw configuration, with one screw (#3) under the stock.  Based on its serial number, the year of manufacture is 1977.  There is no box or other accessories with this revolver.

The overall condition of this gun is 99+ percent.  I hesitate to call anything 100 percent if it is not new in the box.  The finish on the metal and wood is all original, and is practically perfect, with one exception (see comments below on the bluing).  Though I cannot guarantee this, the gun looks as though it has never been fired since its original purchase.  The cylinder lock ring is very light, and the front of the cylinder shows no carbon stain, which is almost impossible to entirely remove once a revolver has been fired.  See the photos of the cylinder ring and the front of the cylinder.  The original wood grips have no marks or stains of any kind.  The checkering is perfect.  See the photos.  The bluing is perfect with one exception -- on the bottom of the frame, i.e., the grip, there are some small scratches.  There are no other blemishes, marrs, stains, etc. anywhere else the gun.  Unfortunately, as mentioned above, there are no box, accessories, or owner’s manual.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Please excuse the oil smears in the photos.  Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.

The buyer pays $25 USPS Priority mail, plus $19.25 insurance.  Virginia buyers must pay 5.3% sales tax.

The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money orders, as they are like cash.  I will ship the revolver immediately upon receipt of a USPS money order and an FFL.  I will also accept a personal check and other types of money orders, as well as bank checks and cashier's checks.  However, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; this includes bank checks and cashier’s checks.  USPS money orders are limited to $1,000, so two USPS money orders will be required for this purchase.  I do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal.  Check or money order must be made out to Jerry Pownall.

If you wish to contact me, please "Email Seller".  I will answer your questions, explain the purchase and transfer process, and provide my mailing address.  I am available any time, except Friday evenings and Saturdays.  I will return emails Saturday evening.
