Payment Types Accepted: M/C, VISA, American Express and Discover Description: Butterfield Army .44 Percussion Revolver. Manufactured 1861-62 . Approximately 640 manufactured. Brass frame. Butter field markings, patent date and “Philad” on brass top strap. This revolver was made on a US Government contract for 2280 guns but the contract was canceled and only 640 were made. This is serial # 121. Bore is very good, action works perfectly. This revolver uses a disc primer feed which is a tube with primers screwed into the frame just in front of the trigger guard. Barrel has plum Brown even patina - The brass frame has its natural patina and has a very pleasing appearance. The Grips are near excellent, with only two or three light handling marks. As American percussion revolvers go the Butterflied ranks as one of the More unusual inventions of the period. Overall condition is very good plus. Grips are very good. SOLD Antique: Yes |
