This handsome, unconverted, 1917 dated revolver has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, and cylinder with the metal retaining 90-92% of the arsenal re-blue finish that has silvered along the raised edges and projections with additional flaking to smooth plum-brown on the barrel and frame. The Webley and date markings on the left of the frame are double-struck, but all markings and edges are crisp and sharp, including the large Broad Arrow on the topstrap, and the “N" and “I07" Royal Navy stamps on the frame knuckle. The hammer and barrel latch have a flaked Suncorite finish remaining with dark underlying metal visible on the flaked areas. The checkered hard rubber grips are in fine shape with some minor flattening of the points, as well as a few minor scratches and handling blemishes. The lock-up is tight, and the mechanism functions flawlessly. This is a fine example of a Mk. VI Webley overall (still chambered in .455), and has a lot of original finish remaining.
