Description:
Serial #26412, .32 RF, 2 3/4" octagon barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This is an early, angular frame revolver that has a matching number on the cylinder. The metal has an overall dull, pewter gray patina with plum-brown freckling throughout, although traces of vivid nitre blue remain on the loading gate spring, and some traces of original nickel are present on the left side of the frame and barrel. The cylinder pin is held in place by a shaped thumb-screw, and has some deep tool marks at the head and along the body. The checkered walnut grip has lozenge-shaped screw escutcheons, and is in very good shape with mild wear and flattening of the points throughout. The separate ejector rod, which screws into the butt of the grip, is still present. The lock-up is still fairly tight, and the action is fully functional in DA and SA. This is a very good example of a pre-No. 1 Webley revolver overall. Antique
