Description:
Serial #49137, .38 Special / .38 Super Police, 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor, and retains 90-92% of the original nickel finish with numerous small scratches and marks, as well as some dark spots of freckling on the rear of the frame, and some flaking on the barrel and rear of the cylinder, which also has a moderate turn-ring. The trigger and hammer retain visible amounts of the original color case-hardening with the balance faded to an overall bright pewter gray patina. The composite wood and genuine stag horn grips are in excellent shape with some discoloration over time. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly. This is a great looking, pre-war, N-frame Smith and rates fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
