Description:
Serial #61476, .50 cal. percussion, 22 inch barrel, bright excellent bore. This White Mountain Carbine is the later production with the warning label on the barrel listing black powder and Pyrodex only and is in excellent condition with 99% original blue. The lock and hammer show the original case color with minor surface oxidation on the recess of the hammer. The walnut stock is very good with surface handling marks and bruises one vertical scratch just ahead of the lock plate that is about one inch in length. Included are the original wooden ram rod, leather sling and scope mount plate which were produced by Thompson Center specifically for this rifle and now command a premium on the secondary market. A fantastic little carbine that is a great deer rifle. Antique Status
