Description:
This is a bridle leather box with single wide belt loop measuring 3 1/2" x 2 1/8" x 3 1/4" and has minor flaking and scuffing on the cover and flex points. An original "US" die-struck waist belt plate has been added to the cover flap which has a dark yellow-ochre patina and appears to have been glued in place along one side. The interior of the box is vacant and a modern leather closure tab has been added. Although not a piece of federal issue equipment, this is still a nice looking period revolver sized belt box with belt plate and would make a nice decorative accent piece for display.
