Description:
A.H.Fox 16 gauge Sterlingworth built in Philadelphia in 1926.This gun has 30" barrels choked modified (.015") and full (,035").The gun is in outstanding all original condition.It retains 98% of the original case colors,985 of the original blue,and 95% of the original wood finish.The bores are mint and free of any rust,dents,or pits.The stock is sound with no cracks or damage.The gun weighs exactly 6 lbs.and handles quickly and smoothly due to the 30" barrels.The stock dimensions are 141/4"x15/8"x23/4".This is a great dove,pheasant or clays gun.The chambers are the original 25/8" length.I have been shooting Remington 16 gauge dove and quail loads in it this season with no problems.The Remington loads have an unfired length of 21/4" and a fired length of 21/2".So they are effectively a 21/2" shell and are much less expensive than other 16 gauge loads.This is a high condition small gauge Fox in a hard to find configuration.C&R eligible.
