Description:
Early post-WW2 Husqvarna 98 Mauser Hi-Power sporting rifle. This neat little rifle is chambered in 9.3X57MM Mauser and features a commercial 98 mauser controlled feed action, 24" barrel, iron sights, and banded sling swivel. The stock is in the typical continental style, with straight comb, no cheekpiece, pistol grip, schnabel forend, point pattern checkering, and 14-5/8" L.O.P. The stock is very solid, showing some handling marks, but no cracks or repairs. The rifle is in excellent mechanical condition, with a 2-stage military style trigger that breaks crisply, and a very slick action that locks up tight into battery. The bore is very nice with sharp rifling, and only very light frosting of the bore present throughout. The metal is very clean showing no pitting or extra holes. There is a small import mark applied by Simpson Ltd. of Galesburg, IL on the left side of the rear bridge of the action. A very nice Mauser 98 sporting rifle at a great price.
