Description:
The RAREST standard production caliber Model 70 ever produced! Only 362 made! These were cataloged for only one year (1947) but sold intermittently until 1954. This is a positively genuine rifle in very nice shape. S/N 126*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1949. 98% Blue, 96% Varnish with some scattered handling marks and a small dent on the comb. All mechanical functions are smooth and correct and it has a mirror bore.
These almost never surface and have been priced up to $10,000 higher than this one! Realistically, this could be the only opportunity most buyers will ever have to add a genuine example of this caliber to their collection.
