Description:
Sold Pending Funds / Webley WG Army Revolver with History, this revolver is identified to Royal Artillery Brigadier General C.W. Collinsworth, serial # 11535, cal. 455/476, with a 6" barrel and an excellent bright bore with distinct rifling, the barrel rib is marked Army & Navy CSL. The revolver retains over 85%+ original high polish finish with some light muzzle and high edge holster wear, the front & rear grip straps have thinned finish that has turned to a balanced blue gray patina. This revolver has all matching numbers including the checkered walnut grips that show light wear, there is a chip on the bottom of the right panel, grips are also stamped with the initials C. W. C. on each panel. Also included with the revolver are 34 pages from excerpts of the London Gazette dating from 1903 through 1958 detailing Brig. Gen. Collingwood's promotions & awards, a photo of Brig. General Collingwood, and from Milner Webley research database this revolver was sold to C.W. Collingsworth on Jan. 31, 1899. Overall as photographed and described this revolver is in Collectors Grade Condition. {ANTIQUE} Inv.: # 12-158
