SOLD / Pending Funds / Colt Model 1911 "Black Army" Semi Auto Pistol, manufactured in 1918, serial # 450459 , cal. 45 A.C.P., with a 5" correct Type 4 barrel with the letter "S" in front of lugs and an "X" on right lug and a very good bore, the pistol retains about 70%+ original finish with the front and rear grip straps graying. Pistol has Eagle "S8" inspector mark, with "H" provisional mark on slide and frame (none on barrel hood), correct checkered slide stop with milled undercut and thumb safety without undercut, checkered wooden diamond grips with minor flattening to the diamonds showing honest wear, the letters "AY" lightly hand scratched to right of property mark on left side of frame. Comes with one blued magazine Unmarked as used in Remington-UMC's with pinned base. The overall condition as described and photographed is good plus plus – very good. Inv.: # 1-1373
