Description:
Just here and this is one of the finest ORIGINAL examples we have ever had! (NOTE: *All except the importers deciphered serial number are in Farsi.) These are quite a Rare Carbine with a very low production of only a few thousand being manufactured specifically for the Egyptian Commandos! This was an unheard of variation until this very small group was found and sold years ago and in fact it was a Carbine that few even advanced Collectors even knew existed. After this small group was offered for sale they simply dried up having all but again vanishing from the Collector market place. If you are not familiar with this variation it is as follows: It is a very small carbine about the size of a Russian SKS and in the same great SKS/AK-47 ‘’7.62 X 39’’ Cal. having a folding bayonet BUT that is where the similarity ends as it is an entirely different Carbine altogether. It has an action quite similar to the Swedish AG42B Lungman and Egyptian Hakim but much smaller in all respects and size and has a cocking handle on the right side. Also it has a detachable 10 round magazine. These are the neatest of all the 7.62 X 39 Cal. Carbines and its quality and workmanship is superb! This example is 100% Original thru out and judging by the Bores condition it was fired very little being simply in light service/use. *Book Reference: Sorry but little if anything is known about these scarce little Carbines and as of now do not know of a book to refer to? *Matching/Originality: As all numbers are in Farsi except the importers deciphered serial number do not know much more but it appears to be 100% Factory original thru-out.*Finish & %: The unquestionably untouched Factory original metal finish is simply outstanding and unequaled and other than the ‘’in the white’’ butt plate the 100% original Factory finish rates at appx 95% to 98% overall breaking down by parts as follows: The receiver rates easily at 98% other than simply a rub place where the operating rod rubs when cocked! The bolt carrier rates 99% and the action cover rates 95%+. The exposed barrel, bayonet-attaching lug and front sight areas rate 99% other that only the top of the front sight hood. The trigger housing other than a small mark from the magazine catch also rates 98% and both trigger-housing screws are Excellent. As stated the butt plate is ‘’in the white’’ with perfect screws and their slots. **Also nothing what so ever has been re-painted, touched up or messed with in any way! *The metal is simply magnificent! *Proofs/Markings: All are absolutely 100% Factory original, untouched and perfect thru out! The left front receiver has the ‘’EGYPTIAN FARSI’’ markings and the left rail has ‘’RASHEED 7.62 MADE IN UAR’’ followed by more ‘’FARSI’’ markings. *Bore: The BORE is absolutely Beautiful, Bright, Shiny and MINT and no doubt this Rifle was fired very little! *Action/Mechanically: This too rates as MINT and as NEW! *Wood Set: The original Egyptian Factory wood set as stated shows simply very minor storage/shipping/light service use dings/marks and is totally untouched, never cleaned, sanded or messed with in any way and rates every bit excellent. Both the stock and hand guard match nicely and absolutely perfect and their fit! The stock is perfectly ‘’EGYPTIAN PROOFED’’ on the lower pistol grip area. Even the butt plate screws and their slots are perfect sharp and crisp! *Magazine: Remarkably it is complete with its excellent Factory original magazine that is quite hard find and not the usual Sarco reproduction/copy. (These original magazines are quite rare today and the only ones ever offered for sale separately are the reproductions. *Accessories: To top all of this off this scarce little Carbine comes further complete with its excellent original brown leather sling! This is a scarce accessory to find even when these were released/offered for sale years ago! *History/Use: These Scarce Egyptian Rashid Carbines were reported to have been used by only Egyptian Commandos and Special Guards and are quite a scarce variation and as they were manufactured in such a small number they are quite a sought after carbine especially in this superb untouched original condition. *Again this offering simply at the very top end of those surviving and no doubt one of the finest examples to have survived! If you collect 20th Century Semi-Automatic Rifles or what ever this is one that is ‘’a must’’ and if this outstanding example is passed up today it will be one that you will have an even much more difficult time finding in the future that is for sure! *<>Curio &Relic FFL Item
