Description:
Scarce special order 28 inch extra length extra heavy full octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber. Full length mag tube as well as a crescent buttplate. Special order Set Trigger that works. German silver blade front sight as well as a buckhorn rear sight. Also has a folding Lyman tang sight. Bore in very nice condition with sharp rifling. Would benefit from a good cleaning. Overall metal is in very nice condition with about 25-30% original blue starting to turn plum. Sharp corners. Crisp tight action. Correct dust cover. Wood has a few gouges from use but is still sound and solid. No splits or cracks. Comes with a Cody Research Form. An honest looking 2nd Model 1873 with hard to find features.
