Colt SAA U.S. MODEL 1873 Cavalry "AINSWORTH INSPECTED" , Revolver. Serial #6596 , falls within two known "Custer" or "Benteen" revolvers. All numbers are matching! Replacement parts are outlined in the "KOPEC" letter of authentification. This revolver, Ser.#6596 ,is pretty well described in "Kopec's" Examination Letter. (See last 2 pictures). Revolver Has an Excellent action, indexes properly, locks up tight and has all 4 "clicks". Has a 7.5" barrel with a strongly rifled bore showing some fine pitting. Metal is all a Blue to Brown patina.. The period replacement grips are one piece.walnut and are in very nice condition. Buyer pays $20.00 shipping to lower 48 states.
