Rare "Joe Bananno Mafia Godfather with portons of what appear to be a Thompson Machinegun" Collage Signed Fred Otnes & Gay Talese - 
     Original Rare Joeseph Bananno Mafia Godfather Collage signed & created by the artist Fred Otnes & note signed by Gay Talese - This is the Original  Vintage "Fred Otnes" only existing Joseph Bananno Collage on Canvas board in an enclosed Gallery metal Frame - Frame Measures 25.5 inches in Height x 17.25 inches Width -  This "Otnes" Original was created by the artist somewhere in 1960's or 1970, and was presented as recorded on Saturday, January 14th, 1995 to Mr. Joseph Bananno for this 90th Birthday by Gay Talese - Provenance of this Mixed Media Collage Masterpiece is that it was created, and signed by Artist Fred Otnes, and then acquired by World Publishing Company.  Upon the Publishing of the book "Honor Thy Father" by Gay Talese in 1971, the Collage was Given to Gay Talese as a gift from the World Publishing Company - Gay Talese presented the Collage to Mr. Bananno on January 14th, 1995 at his 90th Birthday - The signed Gay Talese note is attached to the back - The Collage remained with the Bonanno Estate in  Arizona until August 18th, 2005 at which time it was sold at an estate by Going 1nce management Company in Tucson, Arizona - Item was purchased and acquired from that Estate , and has remained in our climate controlled Possession since. Estate Item was sold with the original Certificate of Authenticity, and notarized signature of Rosalie Bonanno, Daughter-in-law of Joseph Bonanno -  
     Joseph Bonanno (1905-2002) was an American Mafioso who became the boss of one of the most prominent crime families in the world, the Bonanno crime family. He was nicknamed 'Joey Bananas". The movie "The Godfather" was based on the life of Joseph Bananno. Bananno later after his heart attack retired, and moved to Arizona. There he gave a ghost-written autobiography of himself in a book written by Gay talese titled "Man of Honor" - Joseph Bananno was never convicted of a serious crime
     The masterpiece Collage was created by Fred Otnes - One of America's most innovative & influential Collage Artists in the world - Many of the late Fred Otnes pieces of art are displayed in many fine Galleries - Kouros Galley - Reece Galleries - George Billis Galleries - Kathryn Market Fine Arts - The Mattatuck Museum Arts & History Center, and the list goes on - Otnes was a mixed media artist, known for the beauty in his much refined detailed work - Fred Otnes was a teacher & mentor in the Collage Artist Circle
