Description:
Winchesters Model of 1892 sporting Rifle .44-40wcf. with Factory 24 inch Barrel. The serial number of this example is 2785XX placing date of manufacture in 1905. Overall condition is very good with most of the original factory finish toned to a very nice even patina. The bore is very good with strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. The rear sight is a three leaf express with platinum inserts, one leaf is missing. The action is mechanically perfect.
