Winchesters Model of 1885 "High Wall" Single Shot Sporting Rifle .32/40wcf. 30 inch Factory Octagon Barrel, Single Set Trigger and #3 Weight. Mid Range Vernier Tang Peep Sight possibly ordered with this rifle. The serial number of this example is 958XX placing date of manufacture in 1908. Overall condition is excellent with this rifle retaining 90-95% of the original untouched factory finish. The bore is near perfect with strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate a 9.5 on a 1 to 10 scale. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. The Single Set Trigger functions perfectly.
