A very early Wichita Classic in 223 Remington. I believe this would have been manufactured around 1980. We sold a few of these rifles during that era. The Classic was priced at $1,295 then. (40 years ago!)
Every factory rifle I've seen has carried a stunning piece of black walnut. This rifle has a 21 inch octagon barrel, 13 1/2 inch length of pull, and weighs 8 lbs 9 oz. with Buehler bases. A coulple of marks on the rifle should be noted; a small ding under the forearm and a mark on the top flat of the barrel. Both of these are shown in the pictures. Will send some vintage literature along with the rifle if you would like.
