Description:
Wilkinson 1907 bayonet built 10/1915 inspected 1919 and probably transferred to South Africa at that time. The blade shows sound markings, sharpening and usage marks. The left side of the pommel shows the South African U broad arrow property mark. The right side of the pommel shows an issue marking SS-1450. The bayonet rides in a sound black leather scabbard. The marking which is partially obliterated was probably the special service battalion. As per skinnerton the broad arrow.
