Description:
This a a mint, “as new in the box” Colt 1911 pistol, made in 1951 as a part of Connecticut National Guard military contract of 300 guns. The gun appears new, unissued and unfired and probably spent the last 60 years sitting on the shelf in Connecticut State Armory. It is all matching, including an original box and comes with an original wrapping paper, cleaning brush, manual and a Colt factory letter verifying its history.
Beautiful high polish blueing on the sides with matted top, bottom and the grip straps. Perfect bore and grips. A true “time capsule”.
It cannot be upgraded and is a top investment quality Colt .45 pistol from the early 50s.
