Description:
A very unusual Colt Single Action type revolver in caliber .44 Percussion. This black powder revolver was made for the French market - they wanted a percussion black powder revolver that looked like a Colt Single Action Army revolver and so Pietta made these for them (black powder percussion revolvers are allowed in France without restriction). Revolver is percussion only and cannot use a cartridge cylinder to shoot cartridge ammo. Cylinder must be removed for loading, then reinserted. And, the gun looks like a cartridge Colt SAA. Even has a working ejector rod & housing (which does nothing but looks good). Quite unique and a masterful creation by Pietta. This particular specimen appears to have never been used but does have a few handling marks and remains in excellent original condition. Buyer must be 21 to purchase. No ffl or C&R required but don't waste your time trying to purchase if you live in a state that prohibits black powder revolvers.
